An Australian, an American and a Canadian...

Today I had school and 6 periods. We had to wake up before 6.30am, and my mother will be happy to hear that I eat breakfast here every morning. We caught the train to school and walked through the snow.
Molly and I sat and waited for the doors to open. Another one of the exchange students, Ellen who is from China came and spoke to us. The three of us walked up the to classroom and sat outside the door. We had bilingual politics for the first 2 periods and our class spoke about whether immigrants to Germany should adopt the values of the country. It was pretty interesting, and I got to help some of the Germans write sentences in English... I think I ended up confusing them.

We all walked to our next class just down the hall where we had 2 periods of English. I like thursdays, I get to actually do something at school. In English, our teacher was handed back the tests that the students had done a week before I came to Germany. Molly, whose native tongue is English... better, American English didn't do too well for someone who can actually speak English! It was hilarous, I got a good laugh out of it.
Our teacher wasn't happy about the marks that the class got. A lot of people nearly failed...
We really didn't do much during the rest of class, our teacher just went through all of the mistakes that were made. The rest of the class was spent during on the black board...

My next class was religion in the same classroom. We had a 20 minute break between classes and then our teacher came it. We got to watch a dvd about Buddists and Hindus. The images were interesting, but I could only understand some of it. I nearly fell alseep in that class, I was very tired.

Julia had to go home to study for her maths test tomorrow, but Molly and I went into the city with another exchange student from Canada, Pierce. Molly and I really wanted Indian food, and I thought it would be slightly ironic to eat Indian food in Germany. We found a resturant in Marburg and went in. The food ws really good and spicy too. We had fun trying to understand each other's English and prononcing words in German. Pierce was good at correcting Molly and I.

We left and walked down the street. We came across a little store with old board games and comic books. We decided to have a look and we ended up buying some stickers for Julia's dad. The stickers were against his favourite soccer team and we thought they would be perfect.

We had to wait in the snow for a bus... It has been snowing a lot lately, especially today. The snow flakes were huge. We went back into the middle of the city to buy Pierce a jacket and I found socks... I realised that I didn't bring enough over with me, so I found some stripy ones in the men's section of H&M, I swear the men's section is a lot better than the women's.

We ended up going into an earring store to find earrings for Molly and the shop assistant yelled at Molly because she dropped some earrings. 'Unglaublich', she said.
We quickly ran out of the shop before she chased up out and went to sit in Aherns so we didn't have to wait outside for our bus.

Molly and I caught our bus to the main train station and then went and waited for the train. We sat on the platform and decided to get something form the vending machine. Everything is so cheap in German vending machines... Everything is cheap here in general compared to Australia. Molly and I sat down and this old German lady started talking to us... She commented on my badges and then said goodbye when we got on the train.

We walked back to the house and watched the rest of a movie that we never finished. I ended up sleeping on the couch because I have been so tried lately. We all had something small to eat and then we sat and watched Bonanza together, which is really a tradition here... Every night we end up watching it.

I also found out that Hannah did really well on her English test that I helped her study for! I tested her on the words for two days and I am very happy. :)
