Today Julia and I both had another nice sleep in. We has the first 2 periods free, slept in a bit then showered and slowly got ready for school. We caught the bus at 9.10am with Felix from our village and then got off at Maburg Hauptbahnhof and caught another bus to school.
We walked to school, went inside and sat outside our classroom. Most of the other kids came and sat outside with us. When the break was over, our teacher came to the class and let us in. We had 2 periods of English... We finally got our tests back, but not until she had finished talking forever and showing us a magazine to learn English with. We all got our tests back, one by one after speaking to here about it first. I got 11 points out of 15 in my grammar, only because I wrote like I speak, dropping a few 'had's' here and there. Then I got 15 points out of 15 on my text that I wrote, this ended up being 14 points overall. I can speak English, good to know. She spent the rest of the class explaining how to write a charactisation and everything, then asked me if we go through things so thoroughly in Australia... I said we don't, because we don't. Class was over and we spent the break in the classroom.
We had 2 periods of Religion after that and our teacher brought in some books and then we just spoke for the whole lesson. We ended up only having one period of Religion and then I walked to a different bus stop and caught the bus to the Hauptbahnhof. Julia and I were planning on catching the train home, but the bus came sooner. We caught it and walked home. I spent time at home after that, we had something to eat when I got home... It would be good if I could remember what it was. Julia had training quite early, at 4.30pm becuase we had to go out afterwards. In the mean time, I sat and knitted, then had something to eat before getting ready to go out.
I got ready and Julia's dad and I started driving to pick up both Hannah and Julia from training. 5 minutes into the drive, we got a phone calls telling us we could come in an hour, so we drove all the way back and waited around. After a bit, we got back in the car and Julia's dad drove me to Kirchhain where Julia already was. We were going the New year presentations for the city of Kirchhain. Julia's runs trains in the city and is extremely good, so was invited, I was a plus one. There were a lot of politicians there, the major of the city, the newspaper and then more people who were getting awards and so on. After so many thank you's and then a few speeches, Julia got called up to the stage and got given a children's book... The rest of the people on our table got called up because they all had to do with athletes, until I was left alone... That was fun. Everyone sat back down and a lot more people got called up because they were German champions of something, or had donated blood 100 times... It seriously went on forever, but there was music everyone so often, so that made it bareable. At the end, we got something to eat and then Julia's mum picked us up.
