Today was the first day of school for the term. That meant waking up at 6.20am and getting ready for school. I seem to always have enough time for breakfast in Germany, then I got my lunch and eventually walking to the train with Hannah while Julai took abit longer. We bought my train ticket and then I waited with Julia and her friends for the train.
We caught it together and then got off an Südbahnhof and caught the bus to school insted of walking. The bus took a while to get there, but it wasn't very cold outside... Only about 0 degrees... It was very full and we squished in, then met up with some other firends eventually, then walked to school.
We sat down and talking about the English test we were about to do. We all walked upstairs and waited for while outside of our classroom. Our teacher was running late and we saw her walk past us and go to another room. We were all laughing and moved to the side so that she couldn't see us. Some people left, but then when she came everyone came back. We sat down and did the test. It was about the movie, Erin Brokoich. We had to write a characterisation of Erin and then do a small grammar test. We had about 90 minutes to do it all. It was easy for me, of course, but I didn't bother trying too hard on the text part.
After English, We slowly walked to art. Our teacher made us draw one point persceptive drawings of the classroom. I find them so easy to do in Australia, I don't know why it's harder in Germany. We had a whole 90 minutes to draw the picture while he took every student out of the classroom to tell them their marks. After the class, he asked me what country I was from, which he has already told him about 4 times. He is quite strange and I still do not like art in Germany.
We had a break and waited inside the main area of the building before walking to Physics and Chemistry. We walked there and waited outside of the classroom for our teacher. i sat with two of the other girls in my class and all we did was go through the mistakes people made in both the Physics and Chem tests, then we got to leave early.
I walked with Julia and two other girls to the bus stop. We got on the bus and went into near the shops in Marburg, we got something to drink and then walked to the office where I had to get my public transport tickets for the next 3 weeks. As soon as we walked in Julia said loudly, 'TAG!' and it was very quiet there, with quite a lot of people, so everyone looked at us. We waited for nearly 10 minutes and then I got my tickets. We left and walked further to the bus stop. I said goodbye to Julia and her friend, who were going to Julia's oma's and I waited for the bus to get home.
I got off at the train station and walked over to the other bus stop towards Bürgeln. Hannah ended up being on that bus, so I sat next to her and we walked home together. As soon as we got home, it was time to eat and both Hannah and I were very hungry. We had eggs, potato and salad for lunch and after the meal I helped Paul with his homework. He had to draw 4 pictures about his holidays and then write a short sentence about the picture. Julia's mum decided that I should be a teacher.
I sat on the couch with my knitting and I talked to Paul a lot. He got all three of the guineas from upstairs to show me. I really didn't know that guinea pigs could be nice and not scared all of the time. A family friend came over, but I stayed on the ocuch with Hannah and Paul. We rested and talked. After a while, Hannah went to training and I sat at the table with Julia's family. Julia gfot home from school with her Oma and then we sat at the table together. I was drinking coffee because I was so tired from waking up early. Paul was doing a puzzle of Germany and 18 pieces were missing, so we made him go upstairs and find them all. He only found 5 of them and Julia's dad said jokingly that he had to find them all, then he went upstairs, crying and talking to himself saying he always had to find everything and it was terrible, etc. The rest of us died laughing downstairs.
Paul came back downstairs and we all sat together. We ate dinner, which was bread and cheeses. After dinner, we sat together on the couch and watched Bonanza whilst knitting. Paul went to bed and then Julia's dad watched some strange animal show, I was creeped out by it, so I went and showered then came back downstairs before going to bed.
I didn't take any photos today either, but I will tomorrow. :)
