Athleteeeeeeees.

This morning, I set a few alarms and finally decided to get up at exactly 9.50am. Julia's mum was at work and Paul was resting in his room, but everyone else was asleep. I went downstairs and checked the temperature, it was warm, then I went and had a shower.

After my shower, I sat in the kitchen and had breakfast. I ate toast with my favourite cheese, then a rewrote my whole list of artist's names... It's just what I do. Slowly everyone woke up, Pual went to a friend's house, Julia dad did stuff outside and Julia ate breakfast while I was writing and then got ready to go to her athletes competition. We left the house at about 11.45am with a car borrwed from our of Julia's dad's friends.

We drove to Stadtallendorf and it was faster than usual. We got there in less than 15 minutes and found a parking spot really easily. We sat down in the hall and watched some of the other events. There was pole valuting, 60m sprints and high jump going on. We sat there for about 45 minutes, then Julia went and slowly warmed up for her race. In the meantime, her Oma came over and sat with us to watch Julia and we organised plans for next week.

We watched Julia warm up, then one of the girls Julia was running with got hurt my another person's spikes and ended up being taken into hospitial a bit later to get stitches. Julia's aunty and her partner came over and sat with us too. Her first race was at 12.10pm and it was a 200m. She won it quite easily and then came and sat back down to rest before her next race. Within about 15 minutes, she had to run her next race which was a 400m. She also won that easily and lots of people were cheering for her. She came back to where we were sitting and the man from the newspaper took her photograph. We stayed for about another 2 hours, waiting for the man with the microphone to call Julia to get her certifcates and chocolate. We watched a lot of sprints and longer races, as well at pole valut and high jump while waiting. At about 2.30pm, we all left and went outside to the car. We said goodbye to Julia's aunty and then got in the car and drove back to Bürgeln.

The normal owner of the car we were driving in quite old and there was a German cassette tape left in there with some horrible German love songs. Julia made us listen to them while driving. They had horrible lyrics like, 'Schenk mir dein erste mal...', which means give me your first time. It was pretty terrible, but we got home and sat down at the table. I made myself some toast and went to sit on the couch and relax. Then one of our neighbours, Claude came over to have coffee. We sat at the table together and talked for a while, Julia's dad got a call from an old lady that happens to talk a lot and he put to phone on loud speaker and we got to hear her go on about nothing for about 10 minutes. Then Julia came down and just as Claude was leaving, she started cooking chips in the deep fryer and Julia's dad, Julia and I ended up eating them together.

Julia's mum and Pual came home from the movies and everyone sat on the couch. Julia's mum started cooking dinner, but Julia and I had to get ready and leave to go into Marburg just as it was finished cooking.

Julia and I walked to the bus stop and met one of our friends, then got on the bus together. The trip isn't every long into Marburg. We got off and walked into the train station to get some chewing gum. Svenja, the friend that was with us decided that the proper way of saying my name was hilarious because in Germany they say, 'Tiger'.

We caught the bus to near the movies and waited inside, then we decided that it was too hot, so we waited outside for Svenja's friends, who we were seeing the movie with. We bought our tickets and waited upstairs at a table. We all organised how we were getting home because public transport in Marburg stops after 11pm. We went into the movie, which was Burlesque. I bought sugar coated popcorn, which is seriously better than with salt. We were near the front, but the movie was really good and I could understand it all as well. It finished around 11pm, and we had time before our bus came. (They have buses you can book after 11pm, they cost the sam as public transport.) We went to the bar/restuarant behind the movies and met some girl's that Svenja and Julia knew from our village. We got to sit for about 10 minutes and then ended up having to get a taxi home, because Svenja's mum wanted us home sooner.

We went outside and found a taxi quite easily. He drove us to Bürgeln and Julia made awkward conversation which him while Svenja and I died of laughter in the back.

We got home at about 11.30pm and basically went to bed straight away.
