I love sleep ins. :)

I got to have a lovely long sleep in this morning, although I want to wake up earlier, I kept ignoring my alarms. I ended up waking up before 10am and getting ready. I didn't take very long and went down into the kitchen where Julia's dad was sitting. I made myself some breakfast and waited downstairs until Julia was ready. Julia's dad went and walked the dog in that time and then we were running a little bit late for the train.

We got to the train station with time to spare and met with one of our friends from the village. We all caught the train together and then walked to school together. We had time before our class started, so we walked to the supermarket because Julia needed food for lunch. We both watched her search through the supermarket, finding food to buy. When she was done, we walked to school and then walked upstairs to our classroom.

Julia and I sat outside the room until the class that was in there left and then we went in and sat down for the 20 minute break. Everyone soon came in and the break was over. Our history teacher came in and one of the students had to do a presentation about the old German school system. That went for most of the lesson and then our teacher talked to each of the students about their marks.

The class was over and we had to quickly walk to the science rooms for Chemistry. We got to take the lift again, so the stairs didn't bother me. We walked to the science rooms and up all of the stairs to our chemistry room. We went in and sat down. Most of the lesson was spent talking about a special 'Winterwander' day that we have on the 24th of Jan. We get to go ice skating or swimming in Winterberg, which is quite a while away. Then the teacher talked to everyone about their notes.

After class, I walked to the bus stop with 2 of the girls from my class. We caught a bus to near the movies and got something to eat. Our plan was to go to a cafe called Coffee Bay, but it was really full. We ended up going there anyway and sitting outside with blankets. We stayed there for a while and talked a lot about school and other things. It was nice and good to get to practice my German some more. Another one of our friends came and met us, we all stayed and talked for a bit until about 3pm when tehy had to go and catch their bus.

I walked to the book shop which was meant to have a large selection of books in English... I went through the whole section and didn't find anything that I really wanted to read. I settled for a book called, Herzog which I think I had seen before. The author had won a noble prize for Lit, so it should be okay. I was planning on catching the bus at 3.32pm, but I spent to long in the book shop and missed it. The book to teh train station took ages to get there, so I had to wait a while.

I had 30 minutes to wait until I could catch a train home, so I got off my bus a little bit earlier and walked. I had been wanting to go into some of the stationary shops along the road, so I took that time to. I ended up buying a few pens and then some folders for back in Australia. When It was nearly time to catch my train, I walked to the station and went pass the Lahn river which has completely overflowed. All of the foot paths and about 1 or 2 metres under water.

I got to the train station and when I walked onto the platform, Julia was there with some of our friends. I ended up catching the train with them all and walking home with Julia. When we got home, we sat on the couch together and ended up watching some TV. I did some knitting and my hand got really sore. Julia's parents came home with Paul and Julia's mum started cooking dinner.

I went into the kitchen and helped make salad. We were having schnitzel, chips and salad for dinner. We all ate together a little bit later and then I watched Bonanza with Paul and Julia's dad whilst knitting. Paul went to bed when it was finished and then I watched a real German crime show with everyone. German crimes are a lot more interesting than the ones we see on TV in Australia. I ended up finishing the first part of my second sock... I am learning how to knit the rest, hopefully tomorrow.

When the show was finished, everyone went to bed. I have another sleep in tomorrow morning and only 2 periods of religion. :)

I also took no photos today... Woops.
